Huntsville Roofing Is A Growing Industry

Huntsville roofing is a growing industry. If you live in Huntsville, you're no doubt aware of just how many companies there are competing for homeowners' dollars when it comes to repairing roof leaks and putting up new roofs. If you've never been to Huntsville, Alabama, you may be surprised to find out that this is one of the biggest boom areas of the nation when it comes to the economy. Many people in America couldn't find Huntsville on a map, and yet it's one of the best cities in America to live in according to many groups that rank cities by livability.

That means that Huntsville roofing companies are in a good place, at least relatively speaking. The rocket city may not be the biggest boom town ever, but it has experienced solid, steady growth over the years. No huge booms, which means no terrible busts. We've been lucky. Our economy is varied here in Huntsville, and we're not reliant on one single industry to keep the economy churning along. Unlike oil in Texas, and auto makers in Detroit, the Rocket City economy is quite varied.

That doesn't mean we don't have rock solid base to build on, though. There's a reason Huntsville is called Rocket City, and it's not because fireworks can be sold here legally. They can, but they can also be sold legally lots of other places. No, it's called the Rocket City because NASA has a huge operation here. Again, many people don't know this. They think NASA is in Houston, TX and Florida. Well, it's also here in Huntsville, Alabama, and without the operations center here Neil Armstrong would have never landed on the moon. Plus, we have the Redstone Arsenal which is part of our nation's military operations. Redstone and NASA mean a solid base for our economy to grow on, which is good news for Huntsville roofing companies.
Gregory McDivitt keeps up with the Northern Alabama roofing industry at his blog, Huntsville Roofing.
