Huntsville roofing companies - how will they be affected by the foreclosure crisis? That's a good question. Alabama has certainly seen its share of foreclosures, just as every state has, so Huntsville is not immune to the problem. However, it should never be forgotten that the foreclosure problem was heavily, massively concentrated in only four states - California, Arizona, Nevada, and Florida. Something like half of all the foreclosures in America took place in those four states. Experts disagree as to why these four states have such high rates of people losing their houses, but they don't disagree on the basic fact about the numbers.
So Huntsville roofing companies are pretty lucky, because the Rocket City has fared quite well during this recession. Sure, new home building has slowed down somewhat, and that has had something of an effect. But compared to the four states of Arizona, Nevada, Florida and California the economy in Northern Alabama is flat out booming. Unemployment in CA is about to hit the 10 percent mark, but it's nowhere near that in the Huntsville/Madison metro area. It's not even close. Not only has the area not been hit very hard by the foreclosure crisis, it's also got a great economic base for weathering the storms that will eventually come along. NASA and Redstone Arsenal are two of the biggest employers in the area, and they're not going anywhere for a long, long time.
On top of that, the area is also home to one of the countries busiest high tech areas, and it's growing all the time. Add in the good schools, the great weather, the friendly people, the excellent shopping available in the area, and last of all the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC), which will see thousands of people moving to the area, and it's easy to see why the economic prospects of the city look so promising. All in all, for Huntsville roofing companies, the next few years should be quite profitable.

Huntsville Roofing Is A Growing Industry
Huntsville roofing is a growing industry. If you live in Huntsville, you're no doubt aware of just how many companies there are competing for homeowners' dollars when it comes to repairing roof leaks and putting up new roofs. If you've never been to Huntsville, Alabama, you may be surprised to find out that this is one of the biggest boom areas of the nation when it comes to the economy. Many people in America couldn't find Huntsville on a map, and yet it's one of the best cities in America to live in according to many groups that rank cities by livability.
That means that Huntsville roofing companies are in a good place, at least relatively speaking. The rocket city may not be the biggest boom town ever, but it has experienced solid, steady growth over the years. No huge booms, which means no terrible busts. We've been lucky. Our economy is varied here in Huntsville, and we're not reliant on one single industry to keep the economy churning along. Unlike oil in Texas, and auto makers in Detroit, the Rocket City economy is quite varied.
That doesn't mean we don't have rock solid base to build on, though. There's a reason Huntsville is called Rocket City, and it's not because fireworks can be sold here legally. They can, but they can also be sold legally lots of other places. No, it's called the Rocket City because NASA has a huge operation here. Again, many people don't know this. They think NASA is in Houston, TX and Florida. Well, it's also here in Huntsville, Alabama, and without the operations center here Neil Armstrong would have never landed on the moon. Plus, we have the Redstone Arsenal which is part of our nation's military operations. Redstone and NASA mean a solid base for our economy to grow on, which is good news for Huntsville roofing companies.
